“Together As One” is a Catholic marriage preparation program run by married couples for engaged couples.
It operates over a single weekend and involves a series of carefully designed talks, where partner participants are challenged to communicate with each other about issues in their relationship.
Virtually all of this communication exchange occurs personally between fiancé and fiancée.
The concept of “like” ministering to “like” is one of the great strengths of the program – people who have lived married life for some time and reflected upon it in the light of their faith, helping those who are about to
be married.
The St Charles TAO Team runs two weekends per year – one in February and one in August – and accommodates a maximum of 16 couples each time.
The team itself consists of between 4 and 6 couples and the Parish Priest or his designated religious representative. “Catering Couples” who prepare meals and generally help the weekends run smoothly and on time are always in demand.
The engaged couples are provided with a light supper on Friday night, lunch and dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.
