The mission of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Ryde is to deepen the Catholic faith of its members and to go out in the wider community and spread awareness of Jesus Christ. Those involved do this by personally sharing themselves – who they are and what they have to offer spiritually– with the poor.

The society strives to help shape a more just and compassionate community. It is deeply concerned with helping the underprivileged develop their lives while respecting their dignity. Members deliver the message of hope and encourage the less fortunate to take control of their own destinies.
