The principal objective of this hard working group is to conserve the Parish’s historic cemetery which is listed by the National Trust, and to care for and enhance its churchyard surrounds.

The landscape group consists of parishioners and non-parishioners alike – both Catholic and non-Catholic – and meets regularly at the church to carry out maintenance and develop new initiatives to improve the surrounds.

The group has developed a full landscape plan designed to beautify and aesthetically enhance the Parish grounds. It includes a number of designated refl ection areas and well cared for gardens.

These initiatives have also been well supported by Ryde City Council via its “Greening of Ryde” project. New members of the Churchyard Landscape group are warmly welcomed.
