Once Altar Servers begin high school, St. Charles welcomes them to take part in a brief training program to further their development.
The five one-hour modules cover topics like Personal Discipleship and Leadership. The course is very interactive and the children have fun and learn at the same time.
Senior Altar Servers perform different tasks and take on different responsibilities from those carried out by Altar Servers and Acolytes. They become role models and trainers and are encouraged to stay on and eventually join other liturgical ministries.
Senior Altar Service is a valued ministry and all children of the right age are encouraged to join whether they have previously served on the altar or not.
