Perhaps one of the more spiritually invigorating ministries at St. Charles is comprised of the men and women who proclaim for us God’s word during the Mass.

St Charles’ readers speak of the privilege of being given the opportunity to voice passages of scripture, which resonate with their fellow parishioners, often in powerful ways.

The ministry urges its readers to strive to understand God’s word more deeply and refl ect on what it means in their lives. In this way their preparation for Masses will hopefully give them a stronger sense of participation in the liturgy. With the proper guidance and support, everyone is capable of reading – you don’t have to be a great public speaker.

Parishioners who would like to participate can do so once or twice a month as part of a roster of readers, which is quite flexible.
