On Sunday 28th March 2010, the 10:00am Mass began outside the church, as we remembered Jesus entering Jerusalem joyfully, riding on a donkey.

We held palms, which were blessed by Fr Paul, and then entered the church, following in fact, a real donkey, which drew both young and old into this story of our Christian faith which leads us into the holiest week of the Church’s year.

At this Family Mass, the Year 5 children from St Charles Primary School took on special roles, and the children’s choir beautifully enriched our liturgy. Fr Paul bravely invited all the many children to the front of the church for the homily, where he spoke about the value of telling our family stories, and indeed our parish family stories from Scripture. These help us know who we are.

After Mass, we all shared morning tea.
